	How should the U.S. and individual states respond to the enormous growth in prison populations and the limited budgets to fund them? reinstate parole increase good time earnings abolish mandatory minimums abolish mandatory minimums for nonviolent offenses only utilize more diversionary programs in sentencing utilize more transitional programs release prisoners nearing the end of their sentences regardless of program participation let the population grow and increase spending for prisons do nothing, there really isn't a problem now

	Do you think prisons should be privatized? yes no

	Do you think California's 'Three-Strikes' law constitutes 'cruel and unusual punishment'? yes no it should be changed to include only three violent offenses it should be changed to include only serious violent offenses if you do the crime, you should do the time
